X-ray images of birds (laying hens) that were generated 
during the research project funded by Svenska Forskningsrådet Formas (2019-02116)
The project aimed to develop a digital tool to assess bones of laying hens using x-ray imaging.

A total of 1,116 images, of 168 birds, each bird was x-rayed several times:
3-5 times during their life, 
1 time post-mortem, 
1 time for its dissected tibia and keel bones.

The exact number of images per each bird is tabled in "number_of_images_per_bird.txt"

It is a code of 4 terms separated by "_" followed by ".Dicom" followed by ".jpg"
e.g in this image name "001_20211102_1504_Live.Dicom.jpg"
	"001" is the 1st term refers to the bird id, it can be either 3 or 2 digit number 
	"20211102" is the 2nd term refers to the date of x-raying and can be:
	        "20211102" date at 16 weeks of bird's age 
		"20220202" date at 29 weeks of bird's age
                "20220503" date at 42 weeks of bird's age
                "20220804" date at 55 weeks of bird's age
                "20221101" date at 68 weeks of bird's age
                "202304xx" where xx can be 17-20 and is the date for post-mortem x-raying  
 	"1504" is the 3rd term refers to the time of x-raying
	"Live" is the 4th term refers to the bird state during the x-raying and can be:
		"Live" for live x-raying, 
                "PM"   for post-mortem x-raying,
                "PMD"  for post-mortem dissected bones x-raying (where right tibia is inbetween left tibia and keel bone).
