Abstract
In Sweden all persons have the right to freely reside in and experience nature, regardless of who owns the
land. We may also use nature on others’ land by picking berries and mushrooms and more.
We can do all this under the “Right of Public Access”.
When people visit, experience and use nature under the Right of Public Access, forests are the most common environment. This is the background of the survey. This investigation concerns the nature and forests in the southernmost part of the country - Skåne and Blekinge, and focuses especially on the economic value of forest recreation and related health effects.

The survey consists of the parts as follows: 1. A few general questions about Your visits to nature and forest nature 2. Some questions about what your forest visits means for you
3. Some questions about what different types of forest means to you 4. Some questions about the forest area that You usually visit 5. A few questions about You and Your household 6. Some additional questions about your general health
